As the time passes me by, I’m always amazed at how much is still yet to be discovered at the most deepest depths of the dank sea, I think of Jacques Cousteau, and how someone who was so passionate and dedicated to being a naval officer, explorer, ecologist, artist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher, lived it. In most professions its a job we attend to get a paycheck, yet, very few people sacrifice will or have the courage to explore and channel those greater depths of their imagination like our boy Cousteau. As I begin an episode of drawings, perhaps in this fashion, I will be thinking about oding myself to people or things that are really ‘Living it’.

Enjoying all the hubbub on the double rainbow effect, its obvious by now that nature has its way with our visual experience.  Looking through images in my albums, I came across this piece, shot last year around the same time in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Erik Minter

We Would just like to let everyone know that please don’t be alarmed over our new site model.  Yes, we know its pretty sweet, and while you may flip through the images, please be aware that they are only dummy shots that will be replaced with all of what Createmint serves in providing rich visual content for both commercial and fine art viewing.  Please stop back on by, and don’t be afraid to leave a comment or two… We usually appreciate what your sometimes saying.

    Sincerely,

Find out how to get involved in supporting Brian Hogan, a New York based fellow artist and his dynamic relief painting that will be unleashed this december, a visual experience that will have you mesmerized by its shear scale, depth and color tenacity. This is what we all have been waiting for to see happen in today’s visual and cultural diaspora.

Check this out for more details and developments on the phases of this project:

Recently, I was looking at the Constructivist Movement, and I had a wild moment with my wacom tablet. I started to get a little quirky with my design, and this is what came about. No… its not intended to be propaganda illustration, I don’t anticipate Malevich or El Lissitzky to be turning in their graves, yet I think it displays a similar design flare using, circles, rings and flat color plains to evoke whats close to that era in graphic principles. Their are a few more in this set that I will present. I don’t want this to reflect as a transitional piece in my style, which I would like to press on more, but, I will save that for another discussion. Its more of an exercise that helps me step out of the box, because you never know how one line can change your destiny.
